In Luxembourg, according to the FLF, the Minimes category includes children born between 2012 and 2014 (season 2025/2026), meaning up to 13 years old. They are traditionally called Minimes, even though they play in the U13 format. This naming allows younger children in the group (who have not yet turned 13) to compete with those who have, promoting fair development and equal opportunities in youth football.
