U17 – Under 17
In Luxembourg, according to the FLF nomenclature, the U17 category includes boys born between 2009 and 2011 (2025/2026 season), up to 17 years old. Traditionally known as Cadets or U17, they play in U17 format. This age mixing allows the youngest players in the group to train and compete alongside older ones, promoting their technical, physical and tactical development while ensuring equal opportunities in boys’ youth football.
