In Luxembourg, according to the FLF nomenclature, the WU17 category includes girls born between 2009 and 2011 (2025/2026 season), up to 17 years old. Traditionally known as Cadettes or WU17, they play in U17 format. This age-group mixing allows the youngest players to train and compete alongside older girls, promoting their technical, physical and tactical development while ensuring equal opportunities in girls’ youth football.
